Access Methods are the primary means to manage Agent communication paths that utilize the Gryphon AI service. Each access method provides a specific method of access to the Gryphon AI systems as contracted and required by the organization. This document will provide a high-level overview of the various Access Methods and how to manage them on Agent profiles.
Access Methods
800 Access
The 800 Access method provides each Agent with a 1-800 number to call wherein they enter a PIN to authenticate with the service. Once authenticated, they are then able to manually dial telephone numbers of potential customers. Each number dialed is checked against the various contact lists to confirm whether the victim number is allowed to contact.
If the number is on a DNC list, the call will not connect, and the Agent will be notified. Alternatively, if the number is OK to call, then the call will be connected.
Click-to-Dial
Various phone systems and CRM (Customer relationship Management) software provide integrations with Gryphon AI. These systems allow users to check the status of a telephone number within the UI prior to initiating the call.
When a call is initiated, the user will receive a telephone call to their predefined telephone number (configured within the Gryphon ONE Client Portal) and upon answering, the system will then connect them to the customer telephone they are attempting to contact.
WebRTC
Available as a web application as well as on iPhone and Android devices, the WebRTC access method provides Agents with a softphone to make calls. Once authenticated, all outbound calls are checked against existing DNC lists. Prior to making the call, the phone number will be checked and visual indicator will show whether the telephone number is on a DNC list.
Softphone/Mobile App
Now deprecated, this Access Method provided the means to utilize a softphone application to make calls. The apps are no longer available, and it is recommended to use the WebRTC based phone applications. Please see the WebRTC section above for details.
In-Network Inbound/Outbound
Gryphon integration with telephony systems, usually uses a single prepended digit to route calls through Gryphon for contact compliance and AI-powered tools rather than routing normally (dial 8 before the phone number you are dialing).
Managing Agent Access Methods
Note: A user with an Administrator account is required to manage Agent Access Methods.
Once the Administrator has logged on to the Gryphon ONE Customer Portal, and accessed the Agent profile, they will be able to make the necessary adjustments.
The upper portion of the Agents screen is where the Access Methods are managed. The available Access Methods will vary depending on the service contract in place with Gryphon AI; not all Access Method discussed above will be visible.
Enabling or disabling an Access Method for the Agent is relatively straightforward, each Access Method has a checkbox associated with it that determines whether it is active. An active Access Method will be checked, while an uncheck Access Method will be disabled.
When enabling an Access Method for the agent, tick the box, then fill in the detail to the right of the newly enabled Access Method. For 800 Access, a PIN and (optional) Caller ID are entered. For all other Access Methods and ANI and (optional) Caller ID will be entered.
Select Save Changes at the bottom once complete.
